Team Bios - Gialanella Family Dentistry

Naomi – Practice Administrator

Naomi is our Practice Administrator and has been working in the dental field since 2002. She strives to make dentistry understandable and affordable for every patient. Naomi has completed numerous hours of continuing education in order to equip herself to best serve our patients including training at the prestigious Schuster Center for Professional Development in Scottsdale, AZ. She also has extensive dental knowledge and her experience in the financial and management areas of our practice makes her an excellent asset to our team.

Kristen – Communications Coordinator

Kristen graduated from The Sage College of Albany with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology and minor in Communications. She previously worked in a multi-specialty dental practice in Boston where she developed a passion for all aspects of the dental field and patient care. Kristen relocated back to the Capital Region to be closer to her family and to continue working in the dental environment. She enjoys working closely with patients to ensure they receive the best treatment and a consistently positive experience at each visit.

Kim – Hygienist

Kim is a 1982 graduate of the Dental Hygiene Program at Hudson Valley Community College, and an active member of the American Dental Hygiene Association. She has been an instrumental part of this practice for over 34 years, and has developed a trusting relationship with our patients while achieving the highest level of oral health. Kim has completed training at the Schuster Center for Professional Development in Scottsdale, AZ as well as obtaining licensure for expanded duties. She attends many continuing education classes and is always striving to gain more knowledge for the benefit of her patients.

Madalyn – Hygienist

Madalyn is a Registered Dental Hygienist who graduated with honors from SUNY Canton with a degree in Dental Hygiene of Applied Sciences. She is patient-focused, driven to provide a personable experience along with the highest quality of care possible. Madalyn enjoys building relationships with her patients and educating them on the importance of their overall oral health. She has extensive experience and advanced training in local anesthesia, nitrous oxide and laser therapy. Although Madalyn has spent the majority of her career helping adults achieve optimal dental wellness, she is finding that her real passion is in providing care to children. Madalyn is excited to have a career that she loves and is grateful to be working with such an amazing team at Gialanella Family Dentistry.

Jenn – Hygienist

Jenn graduated from the Dental Hygiene Program at Hudson Valley Community College in 2007. She attends numerous continuing education courses to keep up with the latest methods, materials and emerging technologies. She has been certified in the use of nitrous oxide and local anesthesia. Jenn also has an interest in studying the links between gum disease and overall systemic health. She has been a welcomed asset to our practice since 2016.

Kate – Hygienist

Kate is a registered dental hygienist who graduated from Hudson Valley Community College with a degree in Dental Hygiene of Applied Sciences. She is certified in the use of nitrous oxide and local anesthesia. She is passionate about attending continuing education courses to further her ability and provide the best care possible for her patients. Her top priority is to help each patient achieve optimal oral health. She prides herself on making them feel comfortable during their regular dental visits and designing home care strategies to help maintain their dental health between professional cleanings.

Lorraine – Dental Assistant

Lorraine graduated Green Mountain College in 1979 with an Associate Degree in Dental Assisting. She is nationally certified, New York State licensed, and has taken hundreds of hours of continuing education over the years. She is energetic and enthusiastic about dentistry and always willing to go the extra mile for her patients.

Nicole – Dental Assistant

Nicole has been working as an assistant in the dental field since 2001. She completed her Certified Dental Assistant Degree at Hudson Valley Community College which has enabled her to broaden her scope of patient care. She is also cross-trained on the administrative side of our practice. She is extremely proud to be a part of a dynamic team of professionals and enjoys working in an environment that promotes continuous learning and innovation. Nicole’s versatility and attention to detail make her a valuable member of our team.

Maria – Dental Assistant

Maria has been working as a dental assistant since 1995. She is exceptionally qualified as she was a dentist in Colombia prior to moving to the United States. She has experience in assisting in specialty offices for root canals. She also has a keen eye for the esthetic side of dentistry. Maria is bilingual and enjoys working in an atmosphere that is always striving to be on the cutting edge of dental technology while delivering the highest level of treatment.

Stephanie – Dental Assistant

Stephanie has over 30 years experience in the dental field. She received her certificate in Dental Assisting from Monroe Community College. She enjoys getting to know each patient and providing a personal touch for each patient encounter. Stephanie appreciates the team approach to providing the highest level of care possible.
